Also known as a Cupping Set, the choice of tea professional for tasting and observing teas. The preferred technique is to brew your loose tea in the cup with the lid on and then carefully place the cup with the lid on its side in the bowl. The tea will drain thru little teeth in the edge of the cup and then after the tea has had time to cool slightly you sip the tea from the bowl. The tea leaves are tipped into the lid to be examined.
