This is what a complex-tasting tea should be. Not quite as sweet at first as the Organic Imperial Keemun. But wait a second with it on your tongue. The lingering taste opens up magnificently and complexely, and the sweetness emerges around the tongue as the flavors linger. This is a demanding tea that repays full concentration through the whole drinking/tasting process. And as it cools down, even more sweetness comes forth, along with marvelous complexity. We ordered lots of this one, as well as the Organic Imperial Keemun: this one for moments of complete relaxation for the absolute finest experience, and the organic for immediate sweet-taste gratification. What great "finds" these two Keemuns are. And, more importantly, both avoid the usual cloying, overdone aftertastes and medicinal qualities of many other Keemuns.

One of the world's great teas. Complex and subtle. Excellent full bodied winey character with oaky notes. Less than 10,000 kilos made each year. The Queen of England loves Keemun and the only one good enough for her is Hoa Ya A! A Chinese black tea that has a bright golden coppery cup.
