I had a rose tea at the Ritz Carlton Tea Room in San Francisco and it was so wonderful that I had to track it down. I wrote to Candie and asked her what it might be. She directed me to this tea. I ordered it and it is just like the one I had at the Ritz. It is a favorite tea of mine and one that I save for just now and then because it is more special that way. I drink it without sugar or milk (though I like my usual Irish Breakfast that way.) You can add sugar if you like, but the flavor is so nice without anything else.

Congou is a general name for non-broken Chinese black teas. Rose Congou is layered 5 times with rose petals, which give the tea a delicate ethereal rose character.
